The Wizard of Oz is a one-hour spectacle of pure wonder. Lions! And tigers! And bears! Oh my! Join us for Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra's Spring Masterworks Concert, The Triumph of Tchaikovsky, on Sunday, March 26th at 3pm. We will start the concert with delightful romantic overture The Hebrides or The Fingal’s Cave by Felix Mendelssohn, a piece which was inspired by the composer's travels to Scotland. This will be followed by the incredible Concerto for Cello and Wind Orchestra by contemporary Austrian genius pianist and composer Frederick Gulda, which will feature local cellist Nathan Chan. This session will prepare you to evaluate your collections and determine what to preserve. Be ready for lively conversation about saving or discarding materials, considering who will use the collection, and exploring options for the things you cannot keep. We present strategies and exercises to help you take stock of your papers, photos, digital files, books, and other historical materials and build a collection that you can manage. Enjoy small bites and snacks. Cuddle up with your cup of tea and enjoy a bear book. Crafts and games for the kids, mostly geared towards ages 6 and under. There will be a silent auction winners annouced around 3:30pm.
