Young the Giant Tickets

In 2004, a band called The Jakes was formed, and over time the lineup would change, resulting in the band now known as Young the Giant. Young the Giant is known for creating music that can be replicated during a concert, versus using computers and other technical items that would distort their sound. Young the Giant was signed by Roadrunner records in 2009 and released their self-titled debut album in 2010. Their debut album reached No. 42 on the

reaching No. 7 and becoming their most successful album. Young the Giant is known for using unique instruments, odd voices and a lot of energy at their concerts. Many people are surprised when they find that the odd noises and voices they heard on the album were not computer generated but actually are noises made by the band.

Young the Giant: From Jake to Giant

When The Jakes formed, their lineup included Jacob Tilley, Addam Farmer, Kevin Massoudi, Ehson Hashemian and Sameer Gadhia. The name The Jakes came from the first letter of each of their names. As with many bands that are formed when people are young and still in high school and college, lineup changes happened. After The Jakes recorded their first EP, Shake My Hand, several band members chose to focus on their education and leave the band. Some pursued music education but chose to no longer be a part of the band. The remaining members of The Jakes added new musicians to complete their sound and began recording more singles. After this, there were a few more lineup changes, and the name The Jakes did not seem right anymore, so they changed it to Young the Giant.
