INTERNATIONAL BALLET THEATRE presents SWAN LAKE, Act 1
Fri April 28 and Sat April 29, 7:00pm
Dance theatre from its historical roots to its ever-evolving future. The dance company of International Ballet Theatre is honored to perform one of the most popular ballets of all time, Act 1 of Swan Lake. This ballet by Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky originally premiered in 1875, it will feature choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov and be staged by Ballet Master Vera Altunina.
Vera Altunina also wishes to take this opportunity to share and celebrate a dance performance that originated from their dance studio in Bellevue. IBT is excited to open this event with the premiere of a contemporary composition, Imprinted Heart by choreographer Francois Serre y Berga.
This unique dance performance promises to support IBT’s mission to enrich the lives of children and adults through the creativity and beauty of dance and gives our community a chance to witness the beauty of classical ballet as it’s meant to be seen — live on a stage in the theatre.
